Vinland Saga (ヴィンランド・サガ ) is a 2019 anime based on the manga by Makoto Yukimura. It ran in Japan from July 7, 2019 to December 29, 2019. Sentai Filmworks has licensed the series for home release, and produced an English dub of the series which was released on August 31, 2021. VSI Los Angeles also produced a separate English dub which includes its own English cast, and premiered on Netflix Japan on July 23, 2021.
On July 7 2021, Twin Engine announced that a second season is in production and premiered on January 10, 2023.
Crunchyroll's dub for the season premiered on January 23, 2023 until July 3 2023. Netflix's dub of Season 2 was split into 2 cours with Cour 1 consisting of the first 12 episodes premiered on March 9 to April 15, 2023 and the final cour of the remaining 12 episodes premiered on August 4, 2023.

Dubbing History
Originally, Amazon released the series in North America and Australia on their Prime Video service. However, this release only featured Japanese audio with English language subtitles.
On May 20, 2021, Sentai Filmworks acquired home video rights for the series and released a new translation and an English dub on August 31, 2021. On July 23, 2021, a separate English dub of the first Season produced by VSI Los Angeles was released in Netflix Japan via a leaked image.
On June 8, 2022, it was announced that the series would leave Prime Video and began streaming on HIDIVE and Netflix on July 7 with each of their respective dubs.
On October 24, 2022, it was announced that Crunchyroll has licensed the second season in North America, Central America, South America, Europe, Africa, Oceania, the Middle East and CIS, and the following day it was also announced that Netflix would also share the license of Season 2 and simulcast the anime with Crunchyroll.
Crunchyroll's dub of Season 2 premiered on January 23 to July 3 2023, while Netflix's dub of Season 2 was split into 2 cours with Cour 1 consisting of the first 12 episodes premiered on March 9 to April 15, 2023 and the final cour of the remaining 12 episodes premiered on Netflix on August 4, 2023.

- Crunchyroll's dub features Mike Haimoto, Jessie James Grelle and John Swasey reprising their roles as Thorfinn, Canute and Leif Erikson from Sentai's dub.
- Ben Balmaceda replaced Anthony DiMascio as Olmar in the Cruchyroll dub starting with episode 35 onwards due to controversy surrounding DiMascio's accusation of domestic abuse since March 20, 2023. Similarily, due to the evidence that Mike Haimoto is a domestic abuser to Avery Smithart, Haimoto may likely be replaced as well. Eventually, Haimoto's controversy have caused the Crunchyroll dub of Vinland Saga to stall for two weeks before resuming on February 13, while the Netflix dub of Vinland Saga have kept going until April 15, 2023 with the final remaining 12 episodes released on August 4.
- Stephen Fu replaced Billy Kametz as Ari in the Netflix dub due to his death of June 9th, 2022.
