Uzumaki is a 2024 horror anime series based on the manga with the same name written and illustrated by Junji Ito. It was serialized and published in Shogakugan's Seinen Big Comic Spirits magazine from January 19, 1998 to August 30, 1999, with a total of 3 volumes.
The anime series was announced at the 2019 Crunchyroll Expo. The series was produced by Adult Swim and Production I.G, animated by Fugaku (Ep. 1) and Akatsuki (Eps. 2+), directed by Hiroshi Nagahama (Ep. 1) and Yuji Moriyama (Eps. 2+), and composed by Colin Stetson. The series premiered on Adult Swim's Toonami programming block on September 28, 2024 in Japanese. It would also premiere the next day on Max[1].
The English Dub of the series also premiered on Max, the same day as the Japanese version is released, and it also started broadcasting on Adult Swim on October 3, 2024.[2]
