Urotsukidoji: Legend of the Overfiend (超神伝説うろつき童子 未来篇, Chōjin Densetsu Urotsukidōji: Mirai-hen) is an adult OVA anime series based on the erotic horror manga created by Toshio Maeda. The original series was released from 1987 to 1989 with a theatrical cut being released late in that latter year. The English dub was produced by Central Park Media under its adult film label Anime 18 and was based on the previously-mentioned movie edition.

The first series focuses on Amano Jyaku, a wandering man-beast who is searching the human world for the Chōjin (Overfiend), a god beyond all gods prophesied to unite said world, alongside the man-beast world and the demon world, together in everlasting peace and prosperity. Amano ultimately finds what he believes to be the Chōjin sealed in the body of a lecherous college student named Tatsuo Nagumo, but things quickly escalate beyond all control once the latter's powers awaken and the Chōjin's coming may in fact be a harbinger of doom for the three realms instead of their salvation.

Dubbing History[]

Legend of the Overfiend and its sequel Legend of the Demon Womb were both dubbed in 1992 under Central Park Media's Anime 18 label, the division being originally made solely to release the two titles. The dubs were based off of the theatrical editions of the series which left 45 minutes overall of the graphically sexual content removed. Even then, however, the majority of the voice cast found the material so repulsive that they were credited with pseudonyms.
