Tokyo Ghoul (東京喰種) is a 2014 anime adaption of the manga series created by Sui Ishida. It was serialized and published in Shueisha's Weekly Young Jump magazine from September 8, 2011 to September 18, 2014, with a total of 14 volumes.
The anime was created by Pierrot, directed by Shuhei Morita, written by Chūji Mikasan, and has music by Yutaka Yamada. It began airing on Tokyo MX and ran from July 3, 2014 to September 18, 2014. The second season titled Tokyo Ghoul √A (東京喰種√A) began airing from January 9, 2015 to March 27, 2015, consisting of 12 episodes.
Tokyo Ghoul is licensed by Madman Entertainment in Australia, FUNimation Entertainment in North America, and Anime Limited in the United Kingdom. The English Dub for the series began with the second season, which premiered on the FunimationNow streaming service from February 18, 2015 to May 6, 2015.[1] Funimation did confirm that the first season wa sbeing dubbed, which was released on the Blu-ray + DVD combo release on September 22, 2015.[2][3]
