Thor Odinson, also known as the Mighty Thor, is one of the main protagonists of the Marvel Universe. He is the titular main protagonist of the Mighty Thor franchise, and one of the main characters of the Avengers franchise. He is based on the Norse character of the same name.
This version of the mythological Thor was created by the late Stan Lee, the late Jack Kirby and Larry Lieber, and first appeared in Venus #11 during the golden age of comics, but this was changed to Journey into Mystery #83 during the silver age of comics.
