The World of David the Gnome(David el gnomo) was a 1985 Spanish animated series based on the book Gnomes by Rien Poortvliet and Wil Huygen. An English version dubbed by CINAR and distributed by Miramax Films was seen on Nickelodeon in the United States in the late 1980s and early 1990s. The English dub is narrated by Christopher Plummer and featured Tom Bosley of Happy Days fame as the voice of the titular character.
Synopsis
The series revolves around David, a gnome doctor, and his wife Lisa. Each episode features David traveling around the world to help out animals or his fellow gnomes while avoiding the malevolent trolls, with a few facts about the gnome world delivered along the way.
