The World God Only Knows is a 2010 anime series based on the manga with the same name written and illustrated by Tamiki Wakaki. It was serialized and published by Shogakukan in their Weekly Shōnen Sunday magazine from April 9, 2008 to April 23, 2014, with a total of 25 volumes.

The anime series was announced in April of 2010 from Weekly Shōnen Sunday. The entire series was animated by Manglobe, with the first two seasons being directed by Shigehito Takayanagi, and the third season by Satoshi Ōsedo. It aired the first season in Japan from October 6, 2010 to December 22, 2010, consisiting of 12 episodes. The second season then aired from April 11, 2011 to June 28, 2011, also consisting of 12 episodes. The third season titled The World God Only Knows: Goddesses Arc, aired from July 8, 2013 to September 23, 2013, consisting of 12 episodes, thus the series overall totaling to 36 episodes.

Sentai Filmworks announced the licensing of the anime at Anime Weekend Atlanta in 2011. They announced the English Cast on November 9, 2011[1], and was released for home video on DVD and Blu-Ray on January 24, 2012. The second season was released on August 7, 2012. Then the third season was released on March 10, 2015. The whole series was released under as The Ultimate Collection on DVD and Blu-Ray on January 3, 2017.

Synopsis

Keima is a dating champion who renders cute girls powerless with his irresistible techniques. Unfortunately, Keima’s only victories are in video games. But his skills are about to be put to the test when he accepts an invitation in a strange email, and the overly cheerful demon Elsie appears before him! Now, Keima is locked in a contract with Hell, and he must use his “talents” to capture the hearts of girls who have been possessed by lost spirits.
