The Real Ghostbusters is an American animated television series, a spin-off/sequel of the 1984 comedy movie Ghostbusters. The series ran from September 13, 1986, to October 5, 1991, and was produced by Columbia Pictures Television, DIC Enterprises and Coca-Cola Telecommunications.
Background[]
During the first two seasons of the series, Peter Venkman and Janine Melnitz were originally voiced by Lorenzo Music and Laura Summer respectively, around the time the third season came around the roles had been re-cast to Dave Coulier and Kath Soucie. To keep things consistent, ABC went back and redubbed Peter and Janine's dialogue in several episodes with Coulier and Soucie. These redubs were only exclusive to certain reruns, however, all home video and digital releases only appear to have the original version.
