The New Adventures of Gigantor, originally known as New Tetsujin-28 (太陽の使者 鉄人28号) is an anime mecha television series directed by Tetsuo Imazawa. The series is a modern color remake of the original series from the 1960's. The series originally aired in Japan between October 3, 1980 and September 25, 1981, consisting of 51 episodes. The series aired in the United States on the Sci-Fi Channel from September 9, 1993 to June 30, 1997.
