The Most Heretical Last Boss Queen: From Villainess to Savior (悲劇の元凶となる最強外道ラスボス女王は民の為に尽くします。, Higeki no Genkyō to naru Saikyō Gedō Last Boss Joō wa Min no tame ni Tsukushimasu) is a 2023 anime series based on the light novel with the same name written by Tenichi and illustrated by Suzunosuke. It was published by Ichijinsha under their Iris NEO imprint June 4, 2019. The original web novel version of the series was published by Shōsetsuka ni Narō on April 19, 2018. The manga version of the series was illustrated by Bunko Matsuura, and was serialized in Ichijinsha's Zero-Sum Online magazine from March 19, 2020 to March 18, 2022, with it being cancelled after a total of 3 volumes. A new manga adpatation of the series was illustrated by Akiko Kawano , and was serialized in Ichijinsha's Monthly Comic Zero Sum magazine on June 28, 2023.
The anime series was announced on October 28, 2022.[1] It was animated by OLM from their Team Yoshioka division, directed by Norio Nitta, series composition by Deko Akao, music composed by Hanae Nakamura, Tatsuhiko Saiki, Kanade Sakuma, & Junko Nakajima, and it premiered in Japan from July 7, 2023 to September 22, 2023, consisting of 12 episodes.
Sentai Filmworks licensed and produced an English Dub of the series, which premiered on HIDIVE's streaming service on April 10, 2024.[2] The Blu-ray of the series was released on October 22, 2024.
