The Millionaire Detective - Balance: Unlimited is a 2020 anime based on the novel "The Millionaire Detective" by Yasutaka Tsutsui (Paprika).

It premiered in Japan on April 9, 2020, but due to the pandemic was postponed after the 2nd episode. It restarted its broadcast from episode 1 on July 16, 2020, and ran to September 24, 2020, consisting of 11 episodes. Aniplex of America licensed the series, while FUNimation Entertainment produced an English Dub, which premiered on the FunimationNow streaming service on September 3, 2020^[1]^[2].

Synopsis

Detective Daisuke Kanbe has no problems using his own fortune to solve crimes even if he assesses human lives based on their financial worth.

Compassionate Haru Kato sees all life as sacred and is sickened by Daisuke’s materialistic ways. Can they stop butting heads and overcome their opposing world views for the sake of solving the toughest crimes in the precinct?
