The Demon Girl Next Door (まちカドまぞく, Machikado Mazoku) is a 2019 anime series based on the manga with the same name written and illustrated by Izumo Itō. It was serialized and published in Houbunsha's Manga Time Kirara Carat magazine in Summer of 2014.
The anime series was announced on January 28, 2019.[1] The series was overall animated by J.C.Staff, directed by Hiroaki Sakurai, series composition by Keiichirō Ōchi, composed by Miki Sakurai. The first season premiered in Japn from July 12, 2019 to September 27, 2019, consisting of 12 episodes. The second season was announced on August 27, 2020[2], and it premiered in Japan from April 8, 2022 to July 1, 2022, consisting of 12 episodes.
Sentai Filmworks licensed the series, and produced an English Dub[3], which was announced on August 5, 2020.[4] It premiered on HIDIVE's streaming service on August 27, 2020.[5] The second season's English Dub premiered on May 26, 2022.[6] The Blu-Ray of the series was first released on September 1, 2020 with the first season. The second season's Blu-Ray was released on May 9, 2023.
