The Billion Dollar Code is a 2021 German television miniseries starring Björn Freiberg, Seumas F. Sargent and Leonard Scheicher.Based on true events, it follows young hackers in 1990s Berlin at the cutting edge of computer programming and digital art. An experimental art project by Joachim Sauter, in collaboration with ART+COM, supported by Deutsche Telekom, results in the successful development of TerraVision. The story is framed by the 2014 patent infringement dispute against Google, alleging TerraVision was used to develop Google Earth.
