The Animatrix is a direct-to-video anime anthology film consisting of nine animated short films based on The Matrix trilogy, produced in 2003 and directed by Koji Morimoto, Shinichiro Watanabe, Mahiro Maeda, Peter Chung, Andy Jones, Yoshiaki Kawajiri and Takeshi Koike.
