Dubbing Wikia

The Adventures of Manxmouse (トンデモネズミ大活躍 Tondemonezumi Daikatsuyaku), called The Legend of Manxmouse on the VHS release, is a 1979 Nippon Animation TV special adapted from the book by Paul Gallico. Originally airing June 30, 1979 on Fuji Television, the special was dubbed in 1989 at Intersound and played on Nickelodeon's Special Delivery block in the early 90s.

Aside from a new theme song (which also plays at time as an an insert song), the special retains the original Japanese music.

In 2001, the English dub was included as part of Anime Eikawa, a Japan-only series of learning aids for the Playstation 2. The same series also includes The Secret of the Seal and The Story of Fifteen Boys.

Synopsis

A drunken sculptor makes a little mouse with rabbit-like ears, which he dubs a Manxmouse. The Manxmouse comes to life that night and goes around the world, meeting various characters and learning he must beware of the Manxcat... but why?
