That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime is a 2018 anime based on the light novel series by Fuse. The novel ran from February 20, 2013 to January 1, 2016. On May 30, 2014, the novel series received a light novel adaptaion with it being illustrated by Mitz Vah. Then on March 26, 2015, the series also received a manga adaptation, with it being illustrated by Taiki Kawakami.
The anime series was animated by Eight Bit, directed by Yasuhito Kikuchi, and it premiered the first season in Japan from October 2, 2018 to March 19, 2019. The animes second season was announced to be a split-season anime, but the first half was delayed from October 2020 to January 2021, and the second half was delayed from April to July 2021 due to the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic in Japan. The first-half of second season later aired from January 12 to March 30, 2021, then aired the other second-half from July 6, 2021 to September 21, 2021. The third season was announced on November 9, 2022. It later aired in Japan on April 5, 2024.
Funimation Entertainment has acquired the rights to the series and is producing a SimulDub, which premiered on the FunimationNow streaming service on October 22, 2018. From episode 37 and beyond, OkraTron 5000 produced the English Dub of the series.
