Team Sonic Racing (チームソニックレーシング, Chīmu Sonikku Rēshingu) is a kart racing video game and a spin-off from the Sonic the Hedgehog series. The game is developed by Sumo Digital and published by Sega, and was released on May 21, 2019 for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch. Unlike Sumo Digital's previous Sonic racing games, Sonic & Sega All-Stars Racing and Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed, Team Sonic Racing only features characters from the Sonic universe, as the team wanted to expand the series' world and character roster.
Synopsis
Sonic and his friends receive mysterious invitations to a Team Car Racing Grand Prix set up by a mysterious sponsor. Soon after entering the competition, they begin to grow suspicious of the sponsors true motivations and whether they are actually more sinister in nature.
