Synduality: Noir

Synduality: Noir is a 2023 anime series directed by Yūsuke Yamamoto and animated by 8 Bit. It is part of the mixed-media project produced by Bandai Namco Entertainment which also includes a video game, manga and two light novels.

The anime series was announced in September 2022.^[1] It premiered in Japan on TV Tokyo with two cours, each cour containing 12 episodes, with a total of 24 episodes. It premiered the first cour from July 11, 2023 to September 26, 2023, while the second cour premiered from January 9, 2024 to March 26, 2024.

Disney licensed the series, while NYAV Post and Disney Character Voices International produced the English Dub of the series, which premiered on Disney+ internationally on March 29, 2025, and on Hulu on April 16, 2025.^[2]

Synopsis

The "Tears of the New Moon" was a great disaster that brought down a poisonous rain "Blueshist" that could kill people if exposed to it. More than 100 years have passed since then, and mankind has finally begun to overcome the disaster. In the "Nest" settlements scattered throughout the devastated world, beside those who are living strongly, there are humanoid "Megas" equipped with a dual-thinking AI. The year is 2242 A.D. Megas, who had fallen asleep with no memory of their past, finally awoke--.
