Sword for Truth (修羅之介斬魔剣死鎌紋の男 Shuranosuke Zanmaken: Shikamamon no Otoko, lit. Shuranosuke the Demon: Man of the Death Scythes Crest) is a 1990 Japanese supernatural chanbara OVA film directed by an uncredited Osamu Dezaki, who was credited as storyboard artist under the alias "Tsutomu Dezaki". It is considered by fans to be the one of the worst anime ever made.

An English dub was produced and released by Manga Entertainment in 1998 as a cash in as a result the success of Ninja Scroll license the company had.

Synopsis

Shuranosuke Sakaki is a masterless samurai with a razor-sharp katana and a cold-hearted personality. Whenever you see the mark of two crossed scythes on his back, death is sure to follow. Because of his exceptional swordsmanship, Shuranosuke is hired by the Nakura Clan to rescue Princess Mayu from the Seki Ninja. In this mission, he must use his full potential to survive the Seki Ninja's notorious henchmen.
