Sword Art Online Alternative: Gun Gale Online (ソードアート・オンライン オルタナティブ ガンゲイル・オンライン) Is a Anime spin-off of Reki Kawahara's Sword Art Online series. A manga adaptation by Tadadi Tamori launched in 2015. Both the light novels and the manga adaptation are published in North America by Yen Press.
An anime television series was adapted by studio 3Hz for the first season, directed overall by Masayuki Sakoi, and it aired between April and June 2018, consisting of 12 episodes. The second season was announced at the Dengeki Bunko 30th anniversary event on July 15, 2023. It was produced by Aniplex and A-1 Pictures, and premiered in Japan from October 5, 2024 to December 21, 2024, consisting of 12 episodes.
It's licensed by Aniplex of America, with an English Dub produced by Bang Zoom! Studios, which premiered on November 18, 2018. The second seasons English Dub is scheduled to premiere on Crunchyroll on November 1, 2024.[1]
