Super Dimension Century Orguss (Chōjikū Seiki Orguss, 超時空世紀オーガス) is a science-fiction mecha anime series. It was produced by TMS Entertainment, with animation done by Artland. The anime was broadcast in Japan between July 3, 1983 to April 8, 1984. It is the second part of the Super Dimension trilogy, which precedes Super Dimension Fortress Macross and followed by Super Dimension Calvary Southern Cross. It is also the only one of the three that was not adapted in to the Robotech series. U.S. Renditions and L.A. Hero initially dubbed and released the first 17 episodes on VHS between 1992 to 1993, but was canceled after eight volumes due to low sales, leaving the dub unfinished. Orguss was later released on DVD-on-demand by ImaginAsian Entertainment in 2007. Currently, it is licensed by Discotek Media who re-released the series on DVD and Blu-ray.

Synopsis

Fighter pilot Kei Katsuragi and his friend Orson go on a mission to escort the deployment of a new space/time oscillation bomb inside enemy territory. Something goes wrong, making the bomb explode and scrambling time, space and different dimensions. Now in a completely alien and unfamiliar environment, Kei meets the Emarn, a group of technologically advanced gypsy traders, and begins his search for a way to restore time and space.
