Space Amoeba (ゲゾラ・ガニメ・カメーバ 決戦!南海の大怪獣, Gezora Ganime Kamēba: Kessen! Nankai no Daikaijū, lit. "Gezora, Ganimes, Kamoebas: Battle! Giant Monsters of the South Seas"; originally titled "Yog, Monster From Space" in America) is a 1970 tokusatsu kaiju film directed by Ishiro Honda and written by Ei Ogawa.

Ca. 1970 - 1971, Toho would commission Hong Kong ex-pat and former Axis International script writer Bob Toole to produce dubs of their films. These films include but may not be limited to Space Amoeba, Lake Of Dracula, and Godzilla Vs. Hedorah. Additionally, Bob handled the English dub of the Taiwanese-Japanese co-production, The Magic World Of Watari. Bob was probably fluent in Japanese after having spent a significant amount time stationed there after enlisting in the army. Hong Kong dubber Linda Masson believes that Bob had left Axis due to a disagreement with Axis' owner Ted Thomas. Linda says that Ted felt Bob was "being disloyal" when he left Axis. All of the available dubs Bob produced for Toho were likely recorded around the same time, but all have slightly different voice casts. The international dub cast of Space Amoeba consists of Barry Haigh, Lily Toole, an unknown male dubber of Canadian descent with no theories to his name (Unknown 1), an unknown male dubber of Australian descent (Unknown 2, theorized to be David Perkins), Barbara Laney, Jack Moore, Saul Lockhart, and Bob Toole.

Space Amoeba was released theatrically in the United States in 1971 by American International Pictures under the title Yog, Monster from Space. A dub was recorded for this release by Titra Studios and would become the most common english version of Space Amoeba for many years, as the international dub would remain digitally unavailable for a couple decades before being included on Tokyo Shock's 2006 release of Space Amoeba. Since then, the international dub has become a bit more well known than the Titra dub due to it having an official DVD release. However, both of the english dubs for Space Amoeba have since gone out of print due to neither being included on any recent streaming or in print disc releases.
