Shiho Niiyama (新山 志保 Niiyama Shiho, born March 21, 1970 – February 7, 2000) was a Japanese voice actress born in Matsuyama, Japan and was affiliated with Aoni Production at the time of her death. She was best known for voicing Seiya Kou / Sailor Star Fighter (Sailor Moon Sailor Stars) and Deedlit (Record of Lodoss War: Chronicles of the Heroic Knight). She was involved with the voice actor group, Virgo, who are the voice actresses of the anime and game, Ojōsama Sōsamō. She was diagnosed with leukemia in 1998, and died of an internal hemorrhage followed by pneumonia in 2000. She was 29 years old at the time of her death. After this, she was replaced in several roles by Tarako, Satsuki Yukino (as Momiji Kagariya), Makiko Ōmoto (as Atre) and Junko Noda (as Deedlit and Bakuryu / Kakeru Ogami).
