Sasaki and Peeps is a 202 anime series based on the light novel with the same name written by Buncololi and illustrated by Kantoku. It was published by Media Factory under their MF Bunko J imprint on January 25, 2021. The original novel version of the series was published by Shōsetsuka ni Narō and Kakuyomu on December 4, 2018. The manga version of the series was illustrated by Pureji Osho, and was serialized and published in Kadokawa Shoten's Shōnen Ace Plus magazine on January 22, 2021.
The anime series was announced on July 24, 2022[1]. It was animated by Silver Link, directed by Mirai Minato, and it premiered in Japan from January 5, 2024 to March 22, 2024, consisting of 12 episodes. A second season was announced on March 24, 2024[2].
Crunchyroll licensed and produced an English Dub of the series, which premiered on their streaming service on January 26, 2024[3].
Synopsis
Sasaki is a middle-aged office worker living in Japan. Feeling drained by the vapid corporate world, he heads to the pet shop in search of a new companion. There he finds an adorable bird named Peeps and takes him home. But Sasaki quickly learns that Peeps isn’t your average bird…he’s a powerful mage from another world! Together, they embark on a magical adventure filled with swords and sorcery.
