Trivia[]
- On September 11, 2001, Riegel and his wife, Quyen, witnessed the attacks on the World Trade Center. At one point, the couple was caught in the dust cloud formed by the collapse of the South Tower, but eventually escaped to Battery Park, where they witnessed the collapse of the North Tower in silence. Riegel captured video footage that was featured in several documentaries.
- Riegel hosts the All Work No Play podcast with fellow voice actor Liam O'Brien, and is a regular cast member of the live-action web series Critical Role, where he and other fellow voice actors play Dungeons & Dragons campaigns.
- In 2018, Riegel received the Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Directing in an Animated Program for his work on Danger & Eggs.
Note[]
- Sam Riegel had stopped appearing regularly in anime dubs as a voice actor, due to becoming more involved as a mainstream voice director in original animation shows and as a cast member in Critical Role.
- However, he has made a few comebacks such as his reprisals as Metal Bat in One Punch Man, Rex Raptor, Para & Arkanain in Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Links, Additional voices in Season 1 of Ghost in the Shell: SAC 2045 and Mephisto Pheles in Blue Exorcist: Shimane Illuminati Saga.
