Sailor Moon Sailor Stars (美少女戦士セーラームーン セーラースターズ Bishojo Senshi Sera Mun Sera Stars) is the final saga in the Sailor Moon series, spanning from Episode 167 to Episode 200. In Japan, it was broadcast from March 9, 1996 to February 8, 1997.

Synopsis

The series is split into two arcs; the first arc deals with an enemy they thought was dead, Queen Nehellenia, who comes back with one intention—to destroy everything that Sailor Moon loves. After they defeat Nehellenia, a new threat comes from beyond the solar system, along with a new senshi, the Sailor Starlights. But determining whether they are friend or foe is harder than it looks. And on top of that, Mamoru has gone overseas to study and Seiya of the idol group the Three Lights is interested in Usagi.

Dubbing History[]

Sailor Stars was the only season of the original series not to be adapted by Cloverway, and for almost two decades, it was never released in the United States in any official form. In May 2014, Viz Media announced that they licensed the series from the start for an uncut release, and that they planned to release Sailor Stars on Blu-ray and DVD. On December 14, 2015, Viz Media streamed the first episode of Sailor Moon Sailor Stars, along with the series finale of Sailor Moon SuperS, on Hulu in the United States, followed by a streaming release of the entire show on Tubi TV in Canada on July 15, 2016.

Sailor Stars was released in a dual-language format on Blu-Ray and DVD on June 18, 2019.
