Sailor Moon Cosmos: The Movie is a two-part anime film in the Sailor Moon franchise directed by Tomoya Takahashi. It is based on the fifth and final arc called 'Shadow Galactica' from the eponymous manga written and illustrated by Naoko Takeuchi, supervised by her and adapted by Kazuyuki Fudeyasu. The film was produced by Toei Animation and Studio Deen. It is the direct sequel to Sailor Moon Eternal and is the final part of what began in the Sailor Moon Crystal series.
The films premiered in Japan on June 9, 2023 (Part 1), and on June 30, 2023 (Part 2), respectively. Globally, it was released by Netflix on August 22, 2024.
