Sabikui Bisco (錆喰いビスコ, Sabikui Bisco, lit. 'Rust-Eater Bisco') is a 2022 anime based on the light novel series with the same name written by Shinji Cobkubo and illustrated by both K Akagishi & mocha. It was published by ASCII Media Works under their Dengeki Bunko imprint on March 10, 2018.
The manga version of the series had 2 parts, the first part being illustrated by Yūsuke Takahashi, and the second part being illustrated by Sō Natsuki. Both were published in Square Enix's Manga UP! magazine. Part 1 was serialized from April 10, 2019 to March 2, 2021, with a total of 4 volumes, while the Part 2 was serialized from December 15, 2021 to October 28, 2022, with a total of 3 volumes.
The anime series was announced during the "Kadokawa Light Novel Expo 2020" event on March 6, 2021.[1] It was animated by OZ, directed by Atsushi Itagaki, series composition by Sadayuki Murai, music composed by both Takeshi Ueda & Hinako Tsubakiyama, and it premiered in Japan from January 11, 2022 to March 29, 2022, consisting of 12 episodes. The second season was announced on July 16, 2023.[2]
FUNimation Entertainment licensed and produced an English dub of the series, which premiered on the FunimationNow streaming service on January 31, 2022.[3][4]
