SAND LAND: THE SERIES

Sand Land is a 2024 anime series based on the manga with the same name written and illustrated by Akira Toriyama. It was released for only one volume and was serialized in Weekly Shounen Jump from May 9, 2000 to August 8, 2000.

The ONA anime series was announced November 14, 2023. It was produced by Sunrise, Kamikaze Douga, and Anima. It was directed by Toshihisa Yokoshima. It began streaming worldwide on Disney+ and Hulu on March 20, 2024.

Synopsis
Sand Land is a mysterious world where demons and humans eke out an existence in a barren desert wasteland. In hopes of replenishing their water supply, Fiend Prince Beelzebub, a demon named Thief, and a human named Sheriff Rao team up and embark on a journey in search of the Legendary Spring.

Several voice actors who were involved in the SAND LAND Video game, including Risa Mei, Jonathan Lipow, Owen Thomas, Keith Silverstein, Andrew Lander, Seth Fuentes, Bill Rogers and Shawn Smith return to reprise their roles for the anime series, despite the game not being released until April 25th.
This is the first anime series to be dubbed at VSI Los Angeles that is not licensed or distributed by Netflix.
This is Bernardo De Paula's first anime dub contribution.
This is John Eric Bentley's first anime dub contribution at VSI Los Angeles in three years since Sailor Moon Eternal in 2021.
