Ryōta Suzuki (鈴木 崚汰, Suzuki Ryōta, born December 22, 1998) is a Japanese voice actor. He is affiliated with TMS Music. He is best known as the voice of Yū Ishigami in Kaguya-sama: Love is War, and the first-ever recast of Yamcha in Dragon Ball DAIMA.
Biography[]
In April of his second year of high school, he entered the Japan Narration Acting Institute. He attended high school and training school at the same time, and won the recitation category of the 63rd NHK Cup National High School Broadcasting Contest (2016), which he had longed for, in his third year.
He joined an agency at the same time as winning the competition. While in high school, he made his first anime appearance and hosted the opening ceremony of the 89th National High School Baseball Invitational Tournament (2017).
He left VIMS on March 31, 2023. He joined TMS Music on April 1 the following year.
His voice actor impersonations include Yoshitsugu Matsuoka and Kenjirō Tsuda, and Tomokazu Sugita has said of his Matsuoka impersonation, "People who can impersonate Matsuoka are rare in the industry. There aren't many." However, Suzuki says that only Inosuke Hashibira from "Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba" can impersonate Matsuoka.
