Ringing Bell (チリンの鈴 Chirin no suzu) is a 1978 Sanrio animated film directed by Masami Hata, adapted from the picture book by Takashi Yanase (creator of Anpanman). An English dub was released to video in the 1980s, where it gained fame as a cult film due to its dark, depressing qualities, largely untouched in the dubbed version.


Synopsis

Chirin is a lamb who lives a happy life on a farm. When his mother dies from an attack by the Wolf King, he sets out to find him and ask him to learn how to become as strong and brutal as he is.
