Real Girl (3D彼女, Riaru Gāru) is a 2018 anime series based on the manga series with the same name written and illustrated by Mao Nanami. It wa serialized and published in Kodansha's Dessert magazine from July 23, 2011 to May 24, 2016, with a total of 12 volumes.
The anime series was announced on November 12, 2017.[1] The series overall was animated by Hoods Entertainment, directed by Takashi Naoya, series composition by Deko Akao, and music composed by Akiyoshi Yasuda. It premiered the first season in Japan from April 4, 2018 to June 20, 2018, with a total of 12 episodes. The second season was announced after the airing of season one's finale on June 19, 2018.[2] The second season premiered from January 8, 2019 to March 26, 2019, consisting of 12 episodes.
Sentai Filmworks licensed the series and announced the English Dub production at Anime Expo 2018 on July 5, 2018.[3] HIDIVE premiered the dub of the series of their streaming service on October 30, 2018.[4][5][6][7] The second season's English Dub was released in 4 batches starting from February 14, 2019 to May 9, 2019.[8][9] The entire series was released on Blu-ray on February 18, 2020.
The series left HIDIVE's streaming service on April 2, 2025.[10][11]
