Re:Zero -Starting Life in Another World- (Reリ：ゼロから始める異世界生活 Re:Zero kara Hajimeru Isekai Seikatsu) is an anime television series based on the light novel series written by Tappei Nagatsuki and illustrated by Shinichirō Ōtsuka.
The anime series was announced by Kadokawa in July of 2015.[1] It was animated overall by White Fox, directed by Masaharu Watanabe for both season 1 & 2. It originally aired the first season in Japan between April 4, 2016 and September 19, 2016, consisting of 25 episodes.
The second season premiered the first cour consisting of 13 episodes in Japan from July 8, 2020 to September 30, 2020. The second cour of season 2 premiered with 12 episodes from January 6, 2021 to March 24, 2021.
The third season was announced at AnimeJapan 2023.[2] It was directed by Masahiro Shinohara, and is scheduled to have two cours[3], which premiered the first cour consisting of 8 episodes in Japan from October 2, 2024 to November 20, 2024. The second cour of season 3 premiered from February 5, 2025 to March 26, 2025, also consisting of 8 episodes, making the season in total consist of 16 episodes.
The fourth season was announced after the airing of the third season's final episode on March 26, 2025.[4]
The series was released in North America by on Blu-Ray and DVD by FUNimation Entertainment between June 19, 2018 and February 5, 2019.[5] The 2nd seasons English Dub premiered on Crunchyroll's streaming service on August 26, 2020.[6] The third season's English Dub premiered the first part on October 23, 2024.[7] The second part of the third season's dub premiered on February 26, 2025.[8]

- Brock Powell replaced Marc Diraison as Wilheim van Astrea in Season 2 due to Diraison's scheduling conflicts.
- Alejandro Saab replaced Christopher Niosi as Julius Euclius in Season 2 due to Niosi's strings of scandals since July 18, 2019.
- Rich Brown replaced Beau Billingslea as Rom due to Billingslea being a semi-retirement and a Union-only actor.
- Dawn M. Bennett replaced Faye Mata as Frederica Baumann due to unknown reasons.
- Additionally, Mark Whitten replaced Todd Hakerborn as Petelgeuse Romanée-Conti due to the same unknown reasons as Faye Mata.
