Power Dolls (パワードール Power Dolls) is an anime miniseries consisting of 2 episodes in an OVA format, produced jointly by Artmic (first episode), OLM, Inc. (second episode), Studio Kogado, Shueisha and VAP, under the direction of Masayuki Hidaka. The episodes are auto-conclusive, presenting two different stories and times of the group of characters. For each episode, the staff in charge was different, and thus a noticeable change in the design of characters between the two episodes.
In Japan it was released from March 1, 1996 to March 1, 1998. In the United States the first episode was released on VHS in 1996 by ADV Films. ADV would later release both episodes on DVD in 2003.
Synopsis
It's the 25th century and Planet Omni calls in a elite team of female Mech Pilots Called the Detachment Of Limited Line Service or The Power Dolls to Handle all foes.
The voice cast for many characters change between the episodes similar to the Japanese version, though this seems to be due to the 7 year gap between the episodes being dubbed.
