Pokémon The Movie: I Choose You! (劇場版 ポケットモンスター キミにきめた Gekijōban Pocket Monster: Kimi ni Kimeta!) is the twentieth Pokémon movie, directed by Kunihiko Yuyama. Made in celebration of the series' 20th Anniversary, the film is an alternate retelling of Ash's original Journey through the Kanto region, and receiving Pikachu. It premiered on July 15, 2017 in Japanese theaters and premiered on November 5, 2017 in the United States in a limited theatrical run by The Pokémon Company International and Fathom Events. It was followed by an airing on Disney XD on November 25, 2017.
