Peter of Placid Forest (のどか森の動物大作戦 Nodoka Mori no Dōbutsu Daisakusen), retitled Back to the Forest on the VHS release, is a 1980 Nippon Animation TV special based on the book Jakobus Nimmersatt by German author Boy Lornsen. The special was dubbed by Intersound in 1989 and played on Nickelodeon's Special Delivery block in the early 90s.
