Outlaw Star (星方武侠アウトロースター Seihō Bukyō Autorō Sutā) is an anime series based on the manga series written and illustrated by Takehiko Itō. The 26 episode series was produced by Sunrise Animation and directed by Mitsuru Hongo, airing on TV Tokyo from January 8 to June 25, 1998.
The English version was produced by Bandai Entertainment, and was originally released on VHS in 1999, with a DVD release the following year. It received an edited airing on Cartoon Network's Toonami block in early 2001 and Adult Swim in early 2002.
