NieR:Automata Ver 1.1a is a 2023 anime series directed by Ryouji Masuyama, animated by A-1 Pictures and based off the 2017 action-RPG video game NieR: Automata.

It premiered in Japan on January 7, 2023.

Aniplex of America and Bang Zoom! Entertainment produced an English dub of the series, which premiered on Crunchyroll on March 18, 2023.

Synopsis In the distant future, 5012. The sudden aerial invasion of Earth by Aliens and their creations Machine Lifeforms led mankind to the brink of extinction. The surviving number of humans took refuge on the moon to organize a counterattack using android soldiers to recapture Earth. However, the war reaches a stalemate as the Machine Lifeforms continue to multiply infinitely. In turn, humanity deploys a new unit of android soldiers as an ultimate weapon: YoRHa. Newly dispatched to Earth 2B joins 9S, the analyst currently stationed there, where amid their mission, they encounter a myriad of mysterious phenomena.

• This is Colleen O'Shaughnessey's first new role in eight years at Bang Zoom since Sword Art Online II.
• This is Alexis Tipton and Connor Kelly-Eiding's first and so-far only anime role at Bang Zoom.
• In contrast to Cup of Tea Productions, which did the Nier Automata video game, this dub is produced by Bang Zoom Entertainment instead. However, all of the voice cast from Nier Automata reprises their roles here.
• This is the first and only Nier Automata media to be unionized in contrast to the video game where it is non-union, hence the appearances of union-only voice actors like Kyle McCarley, Matthew Mercer, and Erica Lindbeck.
