Nick Alexander (died February 2, 2004) was a British voice actor, voice director, writer, and translator.

Biography[]

Nick Alexander was born Gloucestershire, England and brought up in Sussex. He moved to Canada at 17 and spent some time in Montreal. After that, Alexander worked as a radio engineer for Germany's American Forces Network in Frankfurt, where he wrote scripts for two shows and learned, how to do sound composition, which would help him in his career, later on.[1]

In the early 1960s, Nick Alexander moved to Rome. After working a job on the set of Joseph L. Mankiewicz's Cleopatra (released in 1963), he found work as an American English dialogue consultant for British voice director and script adapter Geoffrey Copleston. Soon enough, Alexander worked as a voice actor, director and adapter, himself.[1]

Among Alexander's most notable works are classics from Italian exploitation cinema (like some of the Black Emannuelle films), spaghetti westerns (Keoma), giallo films (Suspiria and Deep Red) and several films starring Bud Spencer and Terence Hill.

Nick Alexander lived in Italy for the rest of his life and was working up until his death in the early 2000s. His daughter Jane and his grandson Damiano also work as actors.
