My Home Hero (マイホームヒーロー, Mai Hōmu Hīrō) is a 2023 anime series based on the manga with the same witten by Naoki Yamakawa and illustrated by Masashi Asaki. It was serialized and published in Kodansha's Weekly Young Magazine from May 29, 2017 to July 29, 2024, with a total of 26 volumes.

The anime series was announced on June 19, 2022.[1] It was animated by Tezuka Productions, directed by Takashi Kamei and aired in Japan from April 2, 2023 to June 18, 2023 with 12 episodes. Crunchyroll licensed and produced an English dub of the series, which premiered on their streaming service on April 16, 2023.[2]

Synopsis

After killing his daughter's abusive yakuza boyfriend to save her, ordinary salaryman Tetsuo Tosu becomes embroiled in the dark criminal underworld. The wish for a simple life he and his wife Kasen had for their daughter has been reduced to a wish for survival. Though middle-aged and weak, he'll put his life on the line using only his wits in order to protect his family.
