My Clueless First Friend

My Clueless First Friend (事情を知らない転校生がグイグイくる。, Jijō o Shiranai Tenkōsei ga Guigui Kuru) is a 2023 anime series based on the manga series written and illustrated by Taku Kawamura.

The anime series is directed by Shigenori Kageyama and animated by Studio Signpost. It aired in Japan originally from April 9, 2023 to July 2, 2023. Crunchyroll produced an English Dub of the series, which premiered on April 16, 2023^[1]^[2].

Synopsis

Takada-kun, the new kid at school, has no idea that everyone in the class calls his classmate, Nishimura-san, the "Grim Reaper." His only thoughts are about what a cool nickname it is. Nishimura-san is relentlessly teased while her classmates snicker behind her back, and Takada-kun is oblivious to the whole situation. Nothing beats being clueless and honest, and that's why his feelings reach right to her heart. This story that starts in an elementary school classroom will make anyone remember those days by reaching right to their hearts.
