Mr. Men was a British animated television series that was based off of the books by Roger Hargreaves. The series aired from 1975 to 1978, and was narrated by the late Arthur Lowe.

Background[]

In 1987, Price/Stern/Sloan Publishers partnered with MCA Home Video to release a VHS called The Adventures of Mr. Men. This VHS contained the Mr. Men episodes Mr. Funny, Mr. Daydream, Mr. Uppity, Mr. Bounce and Mr. Noisy, albeit with some re-editing. Not only were the episodes redubbed with an American voice cast, but the episodes were also completely rescored by Stuart K. Robinson (who also provided some of the voices), the sound effects were completely changed and a few scenes were cut out, likely to fill a 30-minute runtime. There is also a recurring gag throughout the video with Mr. Noisy wanting his story read, only to find out that another character is coming up first.
