Mazinkaiser (マジンカイザー Majinkaizā) is an anime OVA produced by Brain's Base and Dynamic Productions, based on the Mazinkaiser Design that debuted in Super Robot Wars games and the original Mazinger Z manga by Go Nagai.

Synopsis

In one of their epic battles, the Mazinger Team suffers a crushing defeat at the hands of Dr. Hell and his minions after Mazinger Z is stolen and its pilot, the legendary Koji Kabuto, is rendered missing in action. Just when Dr. Hell's second-in-command Baron Ashura uses Mazinger Z against our heroes, Koji makes a surprise return in Mazinkaiser - an all-new Mazinger with heavier armor and deadlier attacks.

Notes[]

  • Due to this series being recorded in Austin, Texas, none of the actors who voiced the original Mazinger Z series returned to this.
  • In 2023, Discotek Media would release the Mazinkaiser vs. the Great General of Darkness OVA on Blu-ray, which is a sequel to Mazinkaiser, but only Charles Campbell from the entire cast would return as the role of Dr. Sewashi.
