Matthew Sydney Géczy (born August 23, 1964) is a American-French voice actor and voice director.

Biography

Raised on several US Army Bases, Matthew was offered a scholarship at New York University, but decided to decline it for a year with the intention of backpacking around Europe - he got as far as Paris, where he fell in love with the city and decided to stay.

Géczy made his television debut in 1986 in France in the Grand Hotel series, alongside Daniel Mesguich and Anne Fontaine. Over the years, Matthew Géczy has acted in several films for television and cinema and even had the opportunity to work in front of the camera with acclaimed directors such as Brian De Palma, Thomas Vinterberg, and Arnaud Desplechin.

A man of many voices; Géczy spends most of his time in the recording studios, not only as a voice actor but also as a voice director and English adaptation dialogue writer. He is most known for lending his voice to not only the funny and eccentric Odd Della Robbia for the hit animated television series, Code Lyoko but also as the all time classic animated character, Casper, The Friendly Ghost, in Casper's Scare School.

His voice director credits are numerous, including Eliot Kid, Mouk, The New Adventures of Lassie, and Season 2 of Casper's Scare School. Matthew Géczy also works extensively as a voice actor for documentaries, video games, internet media, and worldwide advertising campaigns.

Portraying the role of John McClane in 8th Wonderland was Matthew Géczy's first leading role in a feature length film.
