Marvel Anime is a joint project between Marvel Animation Studios and Madhouse of Japan in association with Sony Pictures Entertainment Inc. of Japan. It consists of four series, each centered on a story about the Marvel franchise: Iron Man, Wolverine, X-Men and Blade.

Iron Man[]

Iron Man (アイアンマン Aian Man) is a 2010 anime series consisting of 12 episodes. The series originally aired in Japan between October 1, 2010 and December 17, 2010. The series aired in North America on G4 between July 23, 2011 and October 14, 2011.

Synopsis

Tony Stark is a physicist, an engineer, and the CEO of a major arms manufacturing company. On a battlefield he is injured from his own weapons and taken prisoner by terrorists. In order to keep his own heart beating, he creates the Ironman Suit and escapes. Once free, Stark decides to dedicate his life to pursuing world peace with the Ironman technology, so he moves to Japan to use the resources of "Lab 23," home of the world's first Arc Reactor. Wanting to devote himself fully to this research, Stark decides to retire as Ironman and announce the mass-production of suits to fulfill his duties. But at the announcement ceremony he is attacked by the mysterious organization known as "Zodiac," and his plans have to change.

X-Men[]

X-Men (エックスメン) is an Anime series consisting of 12 episodes. It aired on Animax from April 1, 2011 to June 24, 2011. The series aired in the United States on G4 between October 21, 2011 and January 6, 2012.

Synopsis

The X-Men are reunited following the death of a teammate, and are summoned by Charles Xavier to Japan following the abduction of Hisako Ichiki (Armor). There, they confront the U-Men, a lunatic cult that steals and transplants mutant organs to further strengthen their own army, and the battle for justice is on.
