March of the Penguins 2: The Next Step (L'empereur), also known as March of the Penguins 2: The Call, is a 2017 French feature-length nature documentary directed and co-written by Luc Jacquet, and co-produced by Bonne Pioche and Wild Bunch. It serves as a follow up to Jacquet's 2005 documentary March of the Penguins. It was released to theaters in France by Disneynature on February 15, 2017.
Skipping a theatrical release in the US, the film was released as a Hulu exclusive on 23 March 2018, with Morgan Freeman reprising his role from the original film as the narrator.
