Lupin the 3rd: Is Lupin Still Burning? is an anniversary special that is essentially a remake of the very first episode of the Lupin the 3rd Part 1 series, titled "Is Lupin Burning...?!".
Synopsis
Lupin receives an invitation to join a race by Mr. X. Jigen and Goemon questions Lupin's willingness to join despite knowing it's a trap, but Lupin has his eyes on the Golden Statue rumored to be in a mansion near the race course. The gang makes their plans to obtain the statue, but Mr. X had other plans for Lupin... Sending him back to the past and changing key events that tie his relationship with his gang in the current time!
Characters from the first Lupin series from 1971 make their first appearance in English.
Either as a casting gag, or genuine confusion believing that they are in some way the same character, Kyosuke Mamo is voiced by the same actor as the titular villain in The Mystery of Mamo
