Luna

Luna is a talking black-purple cat that advises Usagi Tsukino/Sailor Moon and the rest of the Sailor Senshi through the anime series. This is the first anime depiction of the original manga character. Her counterpart is Artemis, who assists Sailor V.

Personality

Luna is very dedicated to the mission of the Sailor Senshi, always reminding them of the importance of their duties. She is particularly stern towards Usagi Tsukino, who she hoped would mature and progress the fastest. However, this is only because she wants the best for Usagi, even if she is unable to express it.

Luna usually has a serious disposition and always encourages the Sailor Senshi to be mindful of what they need to do. However, she can lighten up at times, and has shown somewhat of a silly side, sometimes letting the girls do their own thing or getting involved in some way. She occasionally teases Usagi as well.

Luna is also a romantic, and hopes to find love, occasionally curling up with Artemis and falling in love during some storylines.

Luna can also be somewhat judgmental and quick to judge others; she mistook Ami for a Youma upon their first meeting and can be quite cold, taking a while to warm up to others.
