Louise Lambert was a British actress and voice actress.

Career[]

Louise Lambert's background is unknown. Her earliest known dubbing role is The Black Duke from 1963. On screen, Lambert mostly played bit parts, like a journalist in Federico Fellini's Fellini: A Director’s Notebook and a restaurant customer in Pulp.[1]

Lambert had a wide spectrum of voices and could easily adopt accents, like a Mid-Atlantic or Scottish one. She, along with Cicely Browne, was the go-to actress for older lady characters. During the 1970s, Lambert also worked with an infamous dubbing group that operated outside of the dubbers organization ELDA. There, she only dubbed cheap, low-brow exploitation and horror films. Lambert continued to work within the circles of ELDA until the 1980s.[1]

Her last on-screen appereance was in the 1981 mini series La nouvelle malle des Indes, where she played opposite frequent French voice actors Roger Carel (the original voice of Asterix) and Patrick Préjean (known for dubbing Tigger in Disney's Winnie-the-Pooh media). Lambert was seemingly fluent in Italian and French, as she performed her own dialogue in projects of both languages.[1]
