Look Back (ルックバック, Rukku Bakku) is a 2024 anime film based on a one-shot web novel with the same name written and illustarted by Tatsuki Fujimoto. It was serialized and published in Shueisha's Shōnen Jump+ magazine under their Jump Comics+ imprint on July 19, 2021.
The anime movie was announced in February 2024. It was animated by Studio Durian, directed & written by Kiyotaka Oshiyama, composed by Haruka Nakamura, and it premiered in Japanese theaters on June 28, 2024. GKIDS licensed the film, which premiered in North American theaters on October 4, 2024.[1]VSI Los Angeles produced an English Dub, which premiered on Amazon Prime Video on November 7, 2024.[2]
Synopsis
Popular, outgoing Fujino is celebrated by her classmates for her funny comics in the class newspaper. One day, her teacher asks her to share the space with Kyomoto, a truant recluse whose beautiful artwork sparks a competitive fervor in Fujino. What starts as jealousy transforms when Fujino realizes their shared passion for drawing.
